Hungry Kids are collaborating with the one and only Crazy Frog on a new song entitled ‘Back on the Gack’. It’s kind of a speed metal song with 5 part scream harmonies sped up chipmunk style and a beatbox breakdown by Cuddles ‘The Teddy Bear Who Loves’. I didn’t realise until now that Crazy Frog gets around with his little frog dick out almost constantly. Things ain’t never the same once you seen a dudes tiny amphibian junk. We might have to reconsider this whole thing. D.

summer festival madness: in reflection

today i find myself at home nursing a hangover and some sort of insect bite on the sole of my foot which is driving me to a state of anguish that only several days of solid sleep could hope to repair. these and a host of other other ailments are the direct result of the last 2 weeks of madness the hungry kids have endured (and most definitely enjoyed). 3 shows at woodford, nye at falls in lorne, a sideshow in byron with everyone’s favourite geezer jamie t, an amazing sunset sounds and a massively fun southbound (well, fun minus the horrendously uncomfortable red eye flight home) equals an accumulated weariness of epic proportions. last night the cabin fever got so bad we were belting out the theme tune to ‘family ties’ and creating characters out of half eaten aiport meat pies (don’t ask). while outside observers would have concluded ‘this lot have finally cracked, this must be the end’ i can assure you these acts of lunacy are simply a coping mechanism we’ve developed over the past year. our minds shut down to lessen the devastating pain wrought by getting no sleep ever. in the next few days our faculties will slowly return and we’ll begin to function as normal humans once more. it’s kinda sad. i’ll throw some photos up in the next few days. recording starts soon! peace out rabbits.

so the hungry kids are about to get down to business recording our debut album, and we thought it might be a nice idea to bring you, our dear friends, along for the ride. stay tuned for updates, candid (perhaps sordid) photos, video rants and lengthy diatribes about whatever topic takes our fancy. aren’t you lucky!
